It's our last pep rally of the season! July 17th 7-8PM

The theme for the pep rally and the meet is Surf's Up! So get ready to hang ten and join us for a fun night.

Tattoos

Chalk the sidewalk- sign your name, write positive encouragement to your team and the visiting teams.  

Sweet Treat- grab a cold popsicle to cool down 

There will be a special guest visitor stopping by for a visit and pictures.

Guppy Swim- Pre-team swimmers will be showing of their skills <Pre-Team families, check your email to sign up for the Guppy race and see meeting time>

Fun relay race- swimmers will catch a wave across the pool

Parent and coaches relay- parents we encourage you to join in the fun. Bring your suit and goggles and let your kids cheer you on.

Divisionals Meet information

This week we will be hosting the Division 4 Championship Meet.

Location: Dearbought Pool- 100 Eli Court, Frederick, 21701

Theme: Surf's Up

Parking: If you live in the neighborhood, please consider dropping off your family and equipment and parking at home and walking back to the pool In addition to the pool parking lot, you may park along the wider city streets (not in any of the narrow alleys or cul de sacs) in the Dearbought neighborhood. Do not park to the left (west) of the pool on Wheyfield Dr in the condominium neighborhood. Please do not park in any driveways or block any driveways. Carpooling is highly recommended. There will be seven (7) handicap parking spots available in the pool parking lot. Valid handicap plates or placards must be displayed.

Additional Parking Lot: The church that is located at the front of the neighborhood has graciously granted us permission to use their parking lot for the meet. The church parking lot is a 10 minute walk to the pool. See attached map for exact location – 1811 Latham Drive.

Team Seating Areas: Each team will have a team camp area marked on the grass soccer field for your families to set up their canopies. No family canopies will be set up on deck.  Please monitor your area for trash and throw everything away before leaving.

Concessions: The Surf Shack concessions stand will open at 7am. We will have donuts, pancakes, muffins, hot dogs, pizza, candy, water, Gatorade, soda, coffee. We will have specially made swimmer cake pops with each team color represented. The Dairy Bar at GlamourView Food Truck will also be here at 7 AM. Cash and cards are accepted.

Volunteers: Thank you to everyone who has signed up for a volunteer role, this is a large event for our team to host and we need all hands on deck.  The day of the meet we may ask for some extra help as needed, thank you in advance for your support.  We are so proud of our team hosted meets and that our swimmers and visitors have a great experience. We couldn't do that without everyone's help. 

Check In

All swimmers and volunteers should check in by 6:15am

Warm-Ups

6:30-6:55am

Clerking: The clerk of course will begin outside the pool and volunteers will lead swimmers onto the pool deck for their races. Please listen for races being called.  

Meetings:

The meetings will be at the following times:

Officials - 7:15 Location: Pool House

Timers - 7:35 Location: Pool House

Scratch meeting with Team Reps, Coaches and Clerks - 7:45 Location: Clerk of Course under big blue awning

Late or Illness: The morning of the meet if you will be late or can't make it due to illness text 301-219-9294.

We will send out the meet program and entry list tomorrow.

Reminders:

End of Season Slide Show: It is time to collect pictures for the slide show. Please use the link to add pictures from the season to your family file. You may add 5 photos per swimmer to your family file, if you have 3 swimmers you can add 15 total photos. These photos will be used in our end of season slide show shown at the end of the banquet. Please try not to use similar photos. Banquet and Awards Ceremony: July 21st 6-9pm. This event is for all registered swimmers, including pre-team swimmers, non-meet participants, and meet swimmers. We want to recognize everyone’s hard work this summer. Banquet forms are in your swimmers file. All banquet forms and payment are due by Friday, July 17th. Forms should be turned into the red banquet folder in the file box. 

Thank you notes: We have a Thank You note station set up this week during all practices for swimmers to write special thank you notes to the coaches. We will give these notes to each coach at the Banquet next Tuesday. The coaches absolutely love these personal notes.
