Parade Update - Cancelled
Hello Devil Rays Families,
We just learned that the Walkersville Carnival Parade scheduled for Friday is cancelled. While we are disappointed we will not get to show off our Devil Ray spirit to the community we fully support the decision of the Walkersville Fireman's Parade Committee to cancel the parade out of an abundance of caution for everyone's health and safety. We look forward to joining them in the years to come. Please see the message below from the parade committee.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Go Devil Rays!

Dear Parade Participants, On behalf of the Walkersville Fireman's Carnival Parade Committee, we would like to thank each of you for your willingness to participate in this year's parade. Due to the forecasted extreme heat expected on Friday, July 3, 2026, the Parade Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Walkersville Fireman's Carnival Parade. This decision was not made lightly, but out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our parade participants, volunteers, spectators, and the many animals that were scheduled to take part in the event. The anticipated weather conditions present an increased risk that we feel is best avoided. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support. While we are disappointed that we will not be able to celebrate together this year, we hope to welcome you back for future Walkersville Fireman's Carnival Parades. Thank you again for your support of the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company and our community. We wish you and your organization a safe and enjoyable Independence Day holiday. Sincerely, Walkersville Fireman's Carnival Parade
