Swim Meet and Pep Rally Notice

Pep Rally

We will be having our first pep rally of the season this Friday, June 12 from 7-8pm. Our Pre-Team swimmers are invited to join us too.

The theme for the pep rally and the meet is Western!

Come dressed for a Rootin’ Tootin’ good time.

There will be a craft, snack, tattoos, limbo, and a photo backdrop. We will have open swim the first 10 minutes and then begin fun relays.

We will need volunteers to assist with the different stations, please let me know if you can lend a hand.

We are looking forward to an evening of team building and lots of fun!

Fun Surprise: We got all our swimmers bag tags this year!  To celebrate our team's 25th anniversary we have a couple of surprises for the season.  At the pep rally we will pass out bag tags, if you are not able to attend the pep rally we will have your bag tag at practice next week.  Now everyone will know you are a proud Devil Ray!

Apparel

If you placed an order with RyLa we will have it available for pick up at the pep rally.

Meet information

This week we will be hosting the Villages of Urbana Seahawks and Tallyn Ridge Killer Whales for our first home meet of the season.

Location: Dearbought Pool- 100 Eli Court, Frederick, 21701

Theme: Western

Parking: In addition to the parking lot, families may park along any street. Please do not park in the Condo parking lot next to the pool or in any home or condominium driveways or they will be towed. If you live in the neighborhood please consider dropping off your family and supplies at the pool and walking or biking back.

Team Seating: When you enter the pool our team will be set up on the right side of the deck. You are welcome to bring canopies and chairs. Consider sharing with friends as space is limited. The kiddie pool and shallow end of the pool will be closed.

Check In

All swimmers and volunteers should check in by 6:45am

Warm-Ups

Our warm-ups will be from 7:00-7:25am with a meet start time of 8:00am.

Clerking: The clerking area will start in the far corner of the pool to begin line up and then proceed to the seats under the big blue awning.

Concessions: Concessions will be available throughout the meet. We will have pancakes,, pastry items, muffins, chips, candy, hot dogs, pizza, drinks (water, soda, coffee, sports drinks, juice). We will accept cash and credit card.

The meetings will be at the following times:

Officials - 7:25 Location: Pool House

Timers - 7:40 Location: Pool House

Scratch meeting with Team Reps, Coaches and Clerks - 7:40 Location: Clerk of Course under big blue awning

Late or Illness: The morning of the meet if you will be late or can't make it due to illness text 301-219-9294.

We will send out the meet program and entry list tomorrow.
